We provide weekend food bags to any interested student in the Granby Public Schools regardless of socioeconomic status. By supporting our students, we are also supporting their families, helping bridge gaps and strengthen our community.
Every Wednesday night from 5pm to 7pm, we mobilize our team of volunteers to pack food bags, care for our clothing closet, and work on other Granby To-Go projects. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team together to help families in our community.
We work collaboratively with local organizations, agencies, and businesses in caring for our students. With their support, we are better able to serve our families and community.
Our clothing closet has clothing and shoes for children and adults of all sizes that any Granby Public School family can access. We accept clean, gently used and new clothing and shoe donations. Contact us for more information!
Our lending library has books for students and families can borrow. We also have a cozy children's corner where kids can relax and read, called "Hearts for Gracie."
In the foyers at East Meadow Elementary School & Granby Jr/Sr High School, we have giving trees set up. Each month, these trees are decorated with ornaments that indicate the food or toiletry items we are collecting for that month for the Granby To-Go program. Students, families, school staff, and the community are all welcome to support this ongoing project and donate items.
